Here are the results of the citizen balloting. Each voter was asked to spread 20 points across five options (the four approaches and the status quo) in any way they chose. Listed below are average point totals for more than 160 ballots:

APPROACH 1 Extend the Arts Experience - 4.06 points
APPROACH 2 Nurture the Arts Experience - 5.04 points
APPROACH 3 Build the Creative Economy - 5.41 points
APPROACH 4 Foster Quality of Community - 5.28 points
APPROACH 5 Maintain the Status Quo - 0.19 points

A word on the results: Although the slight preference shown here for Approach 3 mirrors the qualitative results from the forums, the differences in mean scores among Approaches 2-4 might not be statistically significant. The gaps between that
group of three and Approaches 1 and 5 are, however, statistically significant. Among the three popular approaches, Approach 2 had the most consistent scores, with fewer extremes of high or low. Approach 4 attracted the most widely varying scores.
